Comparison to Other Cults
In our assessment as to whether Avatar is a destructive cult, we found it incredibly useful to look at other well known cults, their techniques and their policies. We also found it helpful in terms of our recovery and releasing guilt and shame in terms of being sucked in to an agenda which was not what we thought it was.
In addition, according to cult experts, one of the most dangerous and destructive cults in existence today is Scientology. Considering the similarities between Avatar and Scientology, this isn’t something we should be taking lightly.
The more we educate ourselves, the better. This is where our power really lies – in understanding the techniques that self serving personalities have in order to gain control over your psyche and your life.
